chef & food writer

I’m a chef, recipe developer, writer, tea and spice blender living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I love exploring the beauty and utility of Southwest ingredients and helping people feel inspired and confident cooking at home.

After graduation from The French Culinary Institute in NYC in 2003, Marianne worked in restaurants from Minneapolis to Chicago. In 2009, Time Out Chicago named Sundquist one of the 12 most important Chefs Right Now. She now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her husband, two boys and their adopted dog Saturn.

I recently discovered your Recipe Column in the Santa Fe New Mexican and now I look forward to each Wednesday paper. Thank you for brightening and widening our family meals.

I greatly enjoy your writing and recipes!

We read your column regularly and often make your recipes. Just want you to know that the turkey pot pie was divine!

Another great article! We are so lucky to have such a great food columnist in the Southwest. Thank You Marianne! Looking forward to pancakes this weekend!

Thank you for sharing your Thanksgiving encore recipe – this is my new favorite leftover dish. Definitely a keeper for next year!
